Job description
*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis therapy and experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support the behavioral health of clients. The Behavioral Consultant will work collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
*Responsibilities*
•Conduct diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments to identify behavioral needs.
•Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
•Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
•Provide direct support and guidance to clients, focusing on enhancing their skills and independence.
•Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educational staff to promote effective strategies for behavior management.
•Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
•Educate clients and families about behavioral health concepts, treatment options, and available resources.
•Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and share insights on best practices.
•*Experience*
•Proven experience in behavioral therapy, particularly with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
•Familiarity with special education practices and working with people with autism is highly desirable.
•Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and intake processes.
•Experience in data collection methods related to patient care and behavioral assessment.
•Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques within the context of behavioral health is essential.
